The approaching Chainsaw Man anime will have its massive release in October 2022. Chainsaw Man revealed the entire voice cast with the release of their new PV trailer.

Many manga series worldwide are easily accessible for everyone to read online. However, not many series are similar to Chainsaw Man, which makes it unique.

This manga has become everybody’s favourite because of its significantly darker theme, which several other series do not have. Chainsaw Man also has extremely gory violence and a set of great characters.

However, very recently, the series received a significant update, confirming that Crunchyroll will be the streaming partner for the Chainsaw Man anime adaptation since October 2022. The leading voice cast has also been revealed.

Mappa is pulling it off with the Chainsaw Man Anime Adaptation

All the rumours about an anime started in December 2020 that a TV anime adaptation for Chainsaw Man would be made. The Unofficial Shonen Jump News Twitter page tweeted regarding this.

The fandom of Chainsaw Man was expecting the anime adaptation’s revelation after the manga’s conclusion as the author, Tatsuki Fujimoto, disclosed that an “important announcement” would be made.

On 13th December, an official confirmation regarding the TV adaptation of the epic manga was made. Along with the announcement, the first look promotional image for the new series was also released.

The MAPPA animation studio has created many great anime series like The God of High School, Dorohedoro, Jujutsu Kaisen and the final season of Attack on Titan. It will now produce the anime adaptation of Chainsaw Man.

As these anime series have become the greatest of all time, it is pretty evident that the fans must be extremely excited about the Chainsaw Man anime being produced by MAPPA. But when will it release?

MAPPA Confirms the Release Of Chainsaw Man Anime In a New Trailer, In 2022

This would be confirmed at this year’s Jump Festa Event in Japan, where both the anime adaptation and manga series featured heavily as unique panels.

On 3rd December 2021, a report from the WSJ manga Twitter page confirmed the premiere of both part 2 of the manga and anime adaptation in 2022. This may be confirmed at this year’s Jump Festa Event in Japan, where both the anime adaptation and manga series featured heavily as unique panels.

Thankfully, at MAPPA’s recent Livestream event, it had been confirmed that the approaching anime adaptation would premiere in Oct 2022, along with a brutal new teaser trailer.

Sadly, any specific release date was not shared. However, we predict that Chainsaw Man anime can release on 2nd October (Sunday) or 9th October (Sunday) because the Sunday schedule is often the best broadcast slot for adult-themed anime.

There are rumours that the anime adaptation will run over two courses. But this has yet to be corroborated by an official source. A cour is a three-month programming block, with this rumour indicating that around 24 episodes will be produced from October 2022 to March 2023 – assuming both broadcasts run back-to-back.

Crunchyroll has recently confirmed good news for international fans that the new anime will stream on their streaming platform upon the domestic release of the anime.

MAPPA is animating the series, which is one of the essential studios operating in today’s anime business, which means the team will throw lots of resources towards the animation; which is the most time-taking part of any series because of which a new conversation has been brought up regarding the amount of Computer Generated animation that could potentially feature in Chainsaw Man.

Chainsaw Man Production Staff and Main Voice Cast Revealed

As part of the above-mentioned live-streamed event, the subsequent main voice cast has been revealed:

  • Denji is going to be voiced by Kikunosuke Toya
  • Makima is going to be voiced by Tomori Kusunoki
  • Aki Hayakawa is going to be voiced by Shogo Sakata
  • Power is going to be voiced by Fairouz Ai

The following employee members have additionally been confirmed to be engaged in the CSM production.

  • Director – Ryuu Nakayama (Jujutsu Kaisen)
  • Script Director – Hiroshi Seko (Dorohedoro)
  • Character Designer – Kazutaka Sugiyama (Mushoku Tensei)
  • Action Director – Tatsuya Yoshihara (Black Clover)
  • Chief Director – Makoto Nakazono  (SSSS.Gridman)
  • Devil Designer – Kiyotaka Oshiyama (Devilman: Crybaby)
  • Art Director – Yuusuke Takeda (Vinland Saga)
  • Colour Designer – Naomi Nakano (Sword Art Online: Alicization)
  •  Layout Designer – Youhei Miyahara (Scrapped Princess)
  •  Composer – Kensuke Ushio (Devilman: Crybaby)
  • Animation Producer – Keisuke Seshita (Jujutsu Kaisen)

Sadly, fans have begun to get concerned about a recent ‘leak’ from Twitter user ‘rcco_r0nd0’ that explained how CG animation could add to the CSM anime.

According to ‘rcco_r0nd0 ‘in a very now-deleted tweet, the production will be 50% Computed Generated animation and 50% 2D art; however, it will be accustomed to emphasizing backgrounds instead of characters or action.

However, suppose the new trailer is anything to go by. In that case, the CG elements of the new Chainsaw Man series are sure to impress as MAPPA looks to continue their momentum (and reputation) of producing fantastic anime.
